North American Society of Periodontists (NASP) is a unique organization of practicing periodontists with a mission of perfecting the art and science of building the ideal periodontal practice, for the betterment of the patients, enhancing quality of care that we deliver, and the health and well being of our member periodontists. We have "Invitational Meetings" in January of each year where periodontists and staff spend two days in MasterMind sessions.
A dentist is more for teeth cleaning and root canals/cavities. An oral surgeon is for fixing a broken jaw or other corrective surgery.
